About Carol

Carol has enjoyed a passion in the Organizational Development space for 18 years specializing in Leadership Communication as Founder and CEO of Langford Leadership and as a Senior Consultant with Korn Ferry, Int’l.  She carries a Professional Coaching Certification (PCC) with the International Coach Federation, a Masters of Fine Arts from New York University Tisch School of the Arts, a certificate in ‘Conflict Transformation’ from Baltimore Mediation, and is an ordained minister.  Carol is currently achieving a certification for ‘brain based approaches to leadership’ from the Neuroscience Leadership Institute. 

         As a Coach and Facilitator, Carol’s work has occurred in Fortune 50 – 500 companies from industries including Consulting, Banking, High Tech, Supply Chain Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Advertising, Publishing. The client list includes Deloitte, Hartford Health Care, Capital One, L’Oreal, PayPal, Flextronics, ImageThink, Pfizer, Monsanto, etc.

         Prior to her corporate vocation, Carol served for seven years as Associate Professor, City University of New York where she taught a global population in the Humanities Department. Classes emphasized English Composition, Public Speaking, Principles in Dialogic Communication, History of Theatre, Voice and Diction.

         A parallel career path for Carol occurs in the non-profit sector where she serves as the executive director of a modest family foundation. This work has taken Carol on service trips to Sierra Leone, West Africa for conflict transformation (Search for Common Ground); Nicaragua for micro-lending to small business owners (Opportunity International Board of Governors); the Amazon Rainforest for environmental sustainability (The Pachamama Alliance Stewardship Circle). She serves on the Board of Developing Radio Partners building community radio stations in Africa and the Leadership Council of Convergence Center for Policy Resolution in Washington, D.C. As Deacon of Marble Collegiate Church 2010 -13, she also served as a Board member of the Collegiate Corporation and the Madison Avenue Council’s Benevolence Committee. She co-founded their ‘Values and Leadership Roundtable’ and co-produced its 2011Values/Leadership Summit.

         After college, Carol taught high school English, co-founded a highly successful retail company, and acted and wrote for the professional theatre.  She lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn and loves film, theatre, museums, and all of the fulfillment which attend living in the diverse environs of New York City.

Langford delivers leadership communication training programs and executive coaching for business, academic and non-profit organizations.

Skillful communication is the foundation for cultivating and maintaining such relationships. 

We come with 18 years of corporate training and executive coaching experience delivered primarily within the Fortune 50 – 500 sectors. 

Industries we’ve worked in include Consulting, Banking, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Manufacturing, High Tech, Health Care, Insurance. Client list includes Deloitte, Capital One, Flextronics, L’Oreal, Pfizer, Deutsche Bank, Monsanto, PayPal, Fidelity, Apple, American Express, Moody’s Investors Service, State Farm.

Class room training programs range from two full days for up to 12 people, to half day sessions for small groups, to one on one private sessions. We work with team presentations, Key Note addresses, and preparation for Ted Talks. Programs are specifically tailored to the requirements of each client.

Executive Coaching engagements are individually customized according to the needs and desired outcomes for each executive.  Coaching packages range from one month of between 2-4 in person sessions plus phone follow up  to six months and 12-24 in person sessions and phone follow up.

Langford also provides customized web-based training programs using clients’ virtual delivery platforms.
